Senior citizens who think they are helping a grandchild in distress are becoming victims of the “Grandparent Scam,” warns the Better Business Bureau. The scam usually involves a phone call in the middle of the night to a senior citizen. The caller pretends to be their grandchild, who claims to be in trouble and needs money right away.
