BERKELEY, Calif., Dec. 20 (UPI) — Emotional intelligence — the ability to assess and control one’s emotions — increases with age and peaks around the age of 60, U.S. researchers found.

Researchers led by Robert Levenson of the University of California, Berkeley, found people age 60 and older are better able to see the positive side of a stressful situation and more likely to empathize with others. continue reading>>
