Volunteers are needed to provide cleanup and home maintenance tasks to elderly citizens living in the northeast for Spring Cleaning Day on Sunday, April 3. Volunteers will complete simple tasks to help seniors remaining independent, including cleaning up lawn debris, removing weather stripping, and changing light bulbs and smoke detector batteries. All necessary supplies will be provided. Individual volunteers and groups from houses of worship or organizations are welcome. Two-hour time slots are available from 10 to Noon and Noon to 2. Cleanup jobs are assigned on a first-come, first served-basis.
