GenPhilly and the Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter Junior Committee hosted a fun-filled evening of socializing, networking and bowling.
Guests were encouraged to bring pet food and/or pet accessories for pet companions owned by frail and isolated older adults in Philadelphia. Donations for cats and dogs were collected on site. One third of Philadelphia’s seniors have a pet in their home. Pets offer older adults unconditional love, relieve isolation, and help elders to cope with loss.
Raymond & Miriam Klein JCC handled distribution of the donated items.
